This is an exciting time for our community as South Waikato District Council has $30 million of capital projects this financial year, and significant additional projects planned over the next few decades.
We are seeking a manager to lead the team of four dedicated project managers plus external project managers. The successful candidate will be experienced in leading a team and have significant project management experience. They will be a passionate, self-motivated, strong team player, who is keen to make a real difference for the community. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Group Manager Assets, the successful candidate will be joining a well-established, hardworking and dedicated team. The role is primarily responsible to lead the planning and delivery of Council's infrastructure projects and there is involvement in more community-based projects as well. We are seeking someone with appropriate qualifications and experience. Ideally, you will have extensive infrastructure project management, and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
